Truthfully? Absolutely No Idea.

Yes, new theme. Called Lazy Days, no less. I stayed up all night coding it because, well, I’m cool like that. And I was a little sick of my last theme … I thought it about time that I tried my hand at fluid layouts, anyway. There’s a horrible feeling germinating in the pit of my stomach, to do with the fact that I probably have 7647837546 other glitches to iron out in this layout, but for now, it’ll do. Just poke me if you find anything wrong.

I’m still debating about whether I should stick a header between the navigation and the content - just to make things look less minimalistic - or whether I should just type up the blog name in a ridiculously large font, save it in Photoshop and have it as a branding mark … somewhere … come to think of it, where would I put the latter? Hrm. Well, IE 7 completely screws the search form, and there’s this large gap akin to a chasm between the content div and the footer. I shudder to think what it looks like in previous versions of IE.

In reference to the post title, I had no idea what I was doing when I started this at … oh, say, 3 o’clock this morning … and this is what I ended up with. Funny how I envisioned something at least remotely red, and it came out grey and blue. I was this close to retreating to the Themes codex and just sifting endlessly through those until I found something I liked, but then thought against it; I don’t deal well with templates. They give me rashes. On a slight tangent, the site is still very unfinished since I haven’t had an About page in … well, for as long as I can remember. So I’m going to spend the next few hours (read: days) re-constructing everything and writing up new-fangled jazz for the other sections. Meanwhile, the index page is just as minimal and pretty!

In other news, it’s just about three weeks until HSC results are released. You can smell the apprehension in the air! *twitches* Although from some corners it might be excitement, from others it may be a mix of both, and from a select few, it’s probably unexpected flatulence.
