New Years, baby!
All manner of drunken fun put aside (but not forsaken), I’m going to reminisce for exactly one paragraph on the past year, because if I write anymore I might lose the urge to drink myself into a celebratory coma. New Year’s resolutions might come tomorrow, if I feel like making any.
In retrospect, it’s honestly been a crap year, but a good one too. Despite making the catastrophic mistake of jumbling my priorities around - i.e. dance before academics, intarwebz before academics … everything before academics - things worked out in the end. Academically speaking, I didn’t do as well as I could have (go figure), but my goal to get a mark high enough to worm my way into a university was achieved. Regarding everything else, things frequently fluctuated between disappointing, marginally pleasing, and more awesome than a lifetime’s supply of chocolate (and that is awesome) - I was happy enough to get a third place at the State Championships (even though it also meant coming last out of three), I suddenly found myself confronted with bucketloads of independence, and I failed half of my mock exams. There was a handful of high points versus a crater of low moments, but looking back on it, it probably all happened for the best. And to top it all off, graduating from high school in September, moving this blog around two times and finally starting to live my life made 2007 a mixed bag of a year. For the most part, satisfying. Good enough for me!
So bring on 2008! It’s 10:49 PM and I’m feeling scarily anxious but excited about the year that’s literally around the corner. Exciting stuff, people. With that said - Happy New Year to everybody! Am wishing all of you the best for the ‘08. Now … alcomahol!

Happy New Year Xuan!
Wow you came 3rd in state championships?? I didn’t even know you did dance! Must’ve been before I found your blog. What kinda dance do you do?

Happy New Year =D
Chocolates are awesome =D I cannot survive a day without them. Even a small piece would keep me satiated =P
2007 had its ups and downs for me as well but I’m more worried about 2008 because it’s major public exams for me, and that means I have to keep all my online addictions to a minimum level (which sucks, because my mom keeps reminding me that I have to be just like my sister, who got straight A1s and that’s hard to beat).
What dance do you do? I’ve only learned to dance a few dances, (like the Salsa) and can barely remember them anymore, since I’m out of practice for months.

Happy New Year bb!
Keep in mind that this time next year, you won’t give a shit about academics and how you did in high school because hey, you got what you needed in the end! :P
